A new nickel uptake pathway in pathogenic Enterobacteria!

Congratulations to Anne, Jessica, and Eun-ik on their fantastic work showing how yersiniabactin, a secreted metallophore made pathogenic E.coli, Klebsiella, and other enterobacteria, can mediate the import of nickel, a hard-to-find bacterial nutrient during human infections.
